Sensei Kevin Carey, began his martial arts training in 2000, when Shihan Mello moved his karate dojo to Oxford, Ma. He trained every possible chance he could, earning him the rank of Black Belt in 2004, at the young age of 15. Sensei Kevin started competing in karate tournaments right from the beginning and continues to enjoy competing today. Sensei Kevin became a 4rd degree Black Belt in 2017, earning him the title of Sensei. To this day, Sensei not only teaches and competes, but he continues to train and advance in rank as well.

​Sempei Megan Andersen, began her martial arts training in 2017, when Sensei Kevin had his dojo in Worcester, Ma. She started her training at the age of 28 and is excited to keep training and competing. She has been a valued karate mom for the past 2 years and a large part of our Central Mass Karate Academy family. During the day Megan works as a special education paraprofessional for preschool and elementary students. She has a degree in Psychology with a concentration in child and adolescent development. Megan understands the unique needs of each child and wants nothing more than to build up their confidence. She has worked diligently to create an effective and fun, LITTLE SAMURAI program and we are excited for her to shape our youngest students!
